Hello and Happy Wednesday to you! Today I have linked to The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday.

For our first look of February’s Style Wheel Big Deal, I have created an easy work-look by pairing our velvet blazer with white jeans and an all-purpose black and white striped tee.DSF_5703DSF_5680DSF_5674 One of the best attributes of this specific blazer is the color. The jewel-tone is bright and happy and looks so sharp when paired with black and white. Don’t forget, last month’s lesson–it is okay to wear white in the winter these days. 😉 I imagine most of you have a black and white striped t-shirt. If not, or if yours is just about worn out, I found mine at Target. Click here to see what they have now.

Want to hear another fantastic rule to follow? Add another bright color!

Are these shoes not so fun? Okay, so yes the very first time I wore them I dropped a bit of pizza on the suede which of course left a little spot…but that is not deterring me from telling you how badly you need a pair. Stacked heel. Ankle strap. Fabulous color. All the requirements for a pair of shoes that will immediately bring some cheer to your year. Hurry! They are on sale!!

DSF_5764DSF_5768DSF_5757-Edit When speaking of accessorizing this stylish little number, I say bring on the drama. A snake coil bracelet, giant pendant statement necklace and a couple of rings elevate the levity of our work look.

Enjoy the breath of fresh air a velvet blazer provides this month. You can’t help but smile at rich hues, and how fun to have velvet as part of our wardrobes once again.

-ciao for now-
