Good morning and Happy December to you. I took last week off from blogging to mentally and physically prepare for the upcoming holidays: shopping, cleaning, organizing, wrapping and a quick 2 day getaway with my love to his golf course in southeast Texas called Whispering Pines. There is literally no service at all down there so I didn’t bother bringing my phone to take pictures. Trust me though, it was exquisite.
So December is here, and I have sooooo many beautiful things and creative ideas ahead for this month. Let’s start with a verse.
For the month of December, my verse is
There are plenty of times I fear what the Lord has in store for me. What if it’s different than my own plans? What if it’s something I don’t want to do? What if it’s something really, really hard? I like this verse because of the word delight. The thought in delighting in the Lord’s plans is reassuring to me, and especially during the Christmas season I want to focus only on Him and His will. Not myself or my own agenda.
I also have several Christmas Gift Guides coming up: a Stella-Specific one and an EVERYTHING one. I’m not doing a male gift guide this year because honestly, it’s not my specialty. I can shop for my father-in-law (anything at Home Depot for his many projects,) my father (a shirt with a vest or jacket,) my husband (Suit Supply Gift Card or a new pair of Magnannis,) my kids (ninja turtles/marvel,) or my high school/college-aged nephews (CASH,) but that is the extent of my knowledge this year. If you are struggling on what to give a male in your life, may I suggest a gift card to their favorite restaurant. We have started doing this more and more in family for birthdays, because honestly it’s two gifts in one: the food and not having to pay for dinner. 🙂
One of my favorite gift recommendations for the ladies this year? A set of these acrylic chairs!!!
Is it not beautiful, chic, modern, everything…? Sadie gave me a set early (grazie Sadie!!) and I am using one in my office, and the other at my vanity.
Several DELICIOUS recipes are on the blog this month. The first being a breakfast casserole perfect for holiday guests and Christmas morning! Layers and layers of all our morning favorites have forced me to name this one Breakfast Lasagna. 🙂
A Christmas tablescape, a Christmas cocktail and a Christmas desert are in store for you as well this month. Happy December to all of you and Merry, Merry Christmas!
Before I go may I ask each of you an important favor? Our resident photographer, Patrizia Montanari is up for an award and would so appreciate our votes.
