Good morning and happy Friday to you!
Are you so surprised to hear from me after my last post?
Well, while the magazine planning is in the works, from time to time I imagine there will be some things I can’t resist sharing with you! I mean…it’s been almost 3 years since I first began writing to you three times a week. You can’t blame for missing my sweet group of internet friends.
So today I am back and linking up with my friend Erika to bring you my favorites from the week.
Uber Gift Card
The other day the boys and I were at Market Street looking for a Target GC…and can you believe what we found??? An Uber gift card!!! Is this not THE BEST gift ever!!?? So unexpected and so appreciated!
My friend Hayley began making these beautiful iced cookies…and guess what. They are just in time for Easter! They come in traditional, lemon, chocolate and chocolate chip. Uh…yum!
I don’t know about you but these will definitely be a part of our Easter weekend. Shoot Hayley an email with your order, and DEFINITELY make sure to head over to Facebook to ‘Like’ her page and leave her a comment telling her your favorite one! Send orders to
unwrapped $2.50 each
wrapped with a ribbon $3.00 each
I imagine most of you have heard of Brit + Co, but if you have not here is a little blurb about them:
Brit + Co is a media company that inspires, educates and entertains real women with a creative spirit. The “Brit Girl” uses creativity and a do-it-herself attitude in all aspects of her life: To take charge of her career, forge strong friendships and relationships, curate her own style, decorate her home, and entertain a crowd. Through our content, online classes and products, we enable her to use creativity to shape her future.
Anyway, on Monday Brit + Co’s DIY kits and novelty paper goods launched at Target. I am not really a DIYer, but I think these little kits look really fun! Shown above is the ‘Embroidered Leather Cuff’ kit, but there are lots others that would be perfect little sussie to bring for a wine night with girl friends, your daughter’s sleepovers, or even a kitchy little gift for the gal who has everything else.
Calligraphy and Cocktails at Ettiene Market
On Tuesday night, Sadie and I took a class at Ettiene Market in Downtown McKinney: Coryanne Ettiene (owner of the beautiful market) shared with us a delicious new cocktail recipe, and Heather Bloem of Design Roots Calligraphy taught us the basics of that gorgeous penmanship! This was SUCH A FUN CLASS and so unlike anything I have ever done before. You guys definitely need to subscribe to Coryanne’s newsletters in order to stay in the loop about all her exciting collaborations and classes. Then head over to Design Roots and order yourself a starter kit! April is National Hand Written Letter Month. Wouldn’t it be fun to at least address it in calligraphy???
Stella & Dot
Can you believe that after two years, this will be my last week as a Stylist for Stella & Dot?! I can hardly believe it myself. With TAOLB heading to a new frontier, I have decided to “retire” from this incredible company and hang up my styling hat in order to focus on my website’s future. I want to thank you for all of your continued support and business. If you have any last purchases I can help you with, I invite you to shop with me by clicking this link:
I’ll leave you with a few pictures of my FAVORITE pieces from the new Spring Collection.
Have a fantastic weekend friends!!!
