Hello and Happy Friday to you! Here are a few of our Favorite Beauty Products for the month of June. All images are clickable and shopable–except the first picture because it is from Trader Joe’s, and they don’t sell products online. Good thing we have a TJs right here in McKinney!
Certified Organic Argan Oil from Trader Joe's
Argan oil comes from the nut of an argan tree and is rich with fatty acids. It is known as the ultimate conditioner and adds to skin emollience. I have been using the Trader Joe’s argan oil as a topical moisturizer on my face for a little over a month now and have seen a change in my what is normally very dry skin. Grab a bottle at Trader Joe’s next time you are there!
My friend Erin, is an incredible makeup artist and told me about Liquid Sunshine. This is not a self tanning lotion–more like a liquid bronzer. It can be used on the face and body and stays on up to 12 hours. This is the perfect addition to arms and legs if that summer tan hasn’t quite kicked in yet.
In my opinion, Cell Renewal Serum from Sharla’s Skincare is the best serum in her shop. Using a peptide which mimics the youth hormone thymopoietin, this innovative and scientific formula triggers cellular reaction and skin reparative processes that is usually only optimal in the early stages of life. It aids in cell reproduction and brings new cells to the surface at a faster rate. Cell Renewal has healed a sunburn on my face OVERNIGHT, and kept a horrible bug bit on my son from scarring. This product has been a favorite beauty product for ten years!
Have you heard of dry brushing the skin? I had completely forgotten about this practice until my mother told us about a recent spa treatment she had. Proponents of dry brushing claim it helps with lymphatic drainage, keeps cellulite at bay, exfoliates the skin, cleans pores, stimulates blood flow and often provides an energy boost. I found no scientific studies to prove these claims, but I will say that dry brushing the skin makes the skin feel extremely soft…I’ll take that!
Erin, the same make up artist who introduced me to Liquid Sunshine also brought Sexapeel exfoliant spray into my life. This is the CRAZIEST product y’all. It is made of 9 different fruit extracts. Once you spray it on, dead skin literally sloughs off. Today on Instagram I will make a video on my Instastories showing how Sexapeel works. Come find @theartoflivingbeautifully and watch this become one of your favorite beauty products!
I found The Beauty Chef when I visited Scottsdale with Brian back in the early Spring. This Australia-based company operates under the concept that radiant skin begins with good digestion. The Glow formula contains 24 carefully selected skin-loving ingredients, rich in anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids and pre and probiotics, making it a powerhouse of nutrients in every 5g spoonful. I add a spoonful to sparkling water every morning–there are a minimum of 500 million probiotics per serving! Glow is made to synthesise collagen in the skin and helps contribute to normal skin function as well as support digestive health. I’ve linked the picture above to purchase The Beauty Chef-Glow on Amazon…it is $10 less expensive on The Beauty Chef website, but when you account in shipping and tax, it’s less expensive to purchase it through Amazon Prime.
